The artists of the group exhibition explore real and imagined places, architecture and memory, covering themes of loss, love and people without whom the city remains only a decoration. The project's overarching image is Kyiv, but images of other Ukrainian cities are also heard alongside it.
What can you see?
The exhibition features Asa Kozina's "Siren-Headed" - an object that cannot be passed by. Olesya Dzhurayeva's linocut "Lybidska" (2015) shows a familiar square even before the "plate" was replaced by a shopping center. Kyiv landscapes are recognizable in Serhiy Gulevich's etchings. Ave Libertatemaveamor fits the "Closed Garden" into the urban landscape - an island of silence in the midst of everyday noise.
"Art and the City" at Voitok Gallery
Roman Pashkovsky brings photographs of Kherson to the exhibition. The image of a scooter becomes an integral part of the city in both the painting by Mykyta Naslymov and the ceramics of Maslo Ceramics. And the work "FAB-3000" by Vitaliy Grekh (Dilkone) asks - "Losing our own cities, how not to lose our own self?".
"In general, "Art and the City" is primarily about connection, not about destruction: about what keeps a person close to their city and makes the space alive. As a Kyiv resident and the founder of Voitok Gallery, I wanted to make a project about the city, for the city and people. And when so many people came to the opening, I once again clearly understood why I do such exhibitions" — Serhiy Voitok, curator of the exhibition.

The organizers timed the opening of the group exhibition to the third anniversary of Voitok Gallery and Kyiv Day, as the dates almost symbolically coincided in time.
In addition to viewing the exhibition, visitors can take part in curatorial tours that help to better understand the context and history of the creation of the works. A special guide with descriptions of the works is also available for a deeper understanding of the exhibition themes.

The exhibition will continue until July 26, 2026. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the presented works gallery traditionally will be directed to support the Ukrainian military.
