About this reports informed the head of the Ministry of Statistics Mykhailo Fedorov in an interview with Forbes.
The decision to implement the technology in Ukraine, which speeds up the mobile Internet many times over, was made back in the spring of 2019. However, this was prevented by the pandemic and the full-scale invasion of Russia.
"We are negotiating with one company. I hope that the pilot launch will be already next year. We cannot say whether it will work. These are our plans, but we are detailing them in order to publicly announce and improve them," said Fedorov.
He emphasized that the ministry is also working on improving 4G. During a full-scale war, a lot of equipment is moved to strengthen certain regions. Over the past year, communication has deteriorated, but the situation is changing.
