The Ministry of Culture began to collect evidence about crimes against cultural heritage

Interested parties are encouraged to share photo and video evidence.

Ministry of Culture and Information Policy created a resource on which you can document war crimes against objects of cultural heritage committed by the Russian army.

The created platform is designed to collect evidence about:

  • damage to architectural monuments, historical cemeteries, monuments, religious buildings, works of art, natural monuments, buildings of cultural institutions - theaters, museums, libraries, etc.;
  • destruction of archaeological objects - barrows, shafts of ancient earthen fortifications, excavation sites, etc.;
  • facts of injuries/deaths of civilians as a result of the use of force and weapons by the occupier in an attempt to damage cultural objects;
  • seizure of property, looting of museums, libraries and other cultural institutions by occupation forces.

In order to report a crime committed against the destruction of cultural heritage, it is necessary to fill out the following form here.

In the future, these materials will be used as evidence for criminal prosecution at the International Criminal Court in The Hague and the Special Tribunal.
