Today, according to my sources, at an online conference in Zoom, the Ministry of Culture proposed, and the KMDA supported, another park for the creation of the NVMK - Singing Field," the post reads.
Morina reminds that NVMK is not only a memorial, a war museum, a war archive, a crematorium, an administrative building, but also a large area for burials. Accordingly, the total area of the landscape park is only 30 hectares.
"Today, this place is next to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, where exhibitions, concerts and festivals are held. The park is on the balance sheet of the "Kyivzelenbud" CC, which holds a flower show there every year," the public figure notes.
In addition, there is already a memorial to the soldiers of the Second World War on the territory of the Singing Field, and in the fall the residents of Azov proposed to the KMDA to create a memorial cemetery there in honor of the heroes of "Azovstal".
Thus, Morina points out that the proposal to build the NVMK on the Singing field will lead to a new social conflict. This idea will once again push the families of the victims and Kyiv ecologists, preservationists or just local residents. Which, in turn, will only lead to a delay.
"But what touches me the most is that in Kyiv, where hundreds of hectares of state land went under illegal schemes for nothing for private development, those who made this city remain on the map and are still the Ukrainian capital did not find a decent plot.
In general, one gets the impression that proposals for the provision of plots of land for heroes' burials are made not by Ukrainians, but by some orcs who, as you know, have no respect for the death of even their own people," the activist concludes.
