According to notes restorer Ostap Lyshak, the restoration was carried out according to the model of the gate from the house opposite. Specialists restored the structure and decoration, completely replaced the boards, ebbs, false bar and panel, returned the original appearance of the skylight and the box. However, it was possible to preserve the authenticity of the gate by about 10%.

In general, the work lasted about a month. Their cost was UAH 54. The restoration was carried out as part of the city's co-financing program, which is coordinated by the Heritage Bureau of the Department of Historic Preservation. The program provides that 500% of the cost of works will be paid by the city council, and 70% by residents.
