Lviv restorers restored the XNUMXth century banner

A presentation of a restored unique banner took place in the cultural and archaeological center "Peresopnytsia" in the Rivne region.

Khorugva comes from the village of Kraevichiv in the Rivne region. This attribute is an important part of both the military object and the temple. They had a great religious significance and helped illiterate people to understand faith through fine arts.

A restorer from the Lviv branch of the National Scientific and Research Restoration Center of Ukraine, Marta Moskal, said that this banner was created in the Baroque period, which is confirmed by its colors, images of light and emblems such as a cup and a cross.

The head of the research restoration department, Myroslava Biletska-Zvarych, noted that the restoration was carried out using modern European methods of impregnation, which strengthened the fabric of the flag and made it more resistant to humidity and temperature changes.
