In the Swedish city of Linköping, a green area is being arranged right on the roof of the building.

The green area will be partially located on the roof of the building, smoothly descending to the ground, creating an undulating landscape that will resemble a "flying carpet". write The Major.

In addition to the unusual shape, the design will also include paths, stairs and plantings that will resemble carpet patterns.

On the territory there will be an open grass area with space for active recreation. Because the park is undulating, it can function as a toboggan run in winter. Along one side there will be more vegetation with larger trees, shrubs and perennials. In addition, the space provides places where visitors can sit and eat.

"We also hope that people will work there. And families with children can be here. There will be no playground, but the design is playful. The park will become a pearl that many will be able to see from the top of the surrounding houses," comments Linda Mostrom, landscape architect of Linköping Municipality, on the project.
