Ministry of Health emphasizes, that the changes are aimed not only at improving the comfort of patients, but also at improving the working conditions of doctors.
So, from now on, patients in hospitals will be accommodated in spacious single or double wards, which will be equipped with a shower and toilet. Separate rest rooms will be provided for family members staying with the patient.
Parking spaces for people with disabilities will be located near the main entrance of the medical facility. Parking spaces for cars, bicycles, motorcycles, as well as electric chargers for electric cars should appear on the territory of the hospital.
Also, a significant emphasis is placed on inclusiveness of all hospital premises and its territory in general. The buildings will be designed taking into account the principles of barrier-free access, with wide corridors and doorways, and will be equipped with navigation systems, including audio pointers. Separate sanitary and hygienic premises will be equipped for the needs of people with reduced mobility.
The changes will also affect the design of departments - they will no longer be randomly scattered throughout the hospital, but will be located according to how interconnected they are with each other. This will significantly affect the time and convenience of patient delivery. In addition, the emergency department will be fully adapted to the international standards of emergency department planning.
