About this informed in the Kyiv Metro Enterprise.
One of the cars of the art train is completely decorated in the style of Ukrainian Christmas traditions. Paint Hunters artists worked on the visual concept: it took them four days and about 170 cans of paint to decorate.
Inside the train are frames from the film and informational posters created with the participation of folklorists.
They explain the symbols and rituals of Ukrainian Christmas in a simple and interactive way — from the Christmas star and ancient techniques for making it to the nativity scene, carols, driving the goat, the traditions of the 12 holiday dishes, and regional kuty recipes.
The Art Train will run on the blue metro line until the end of January 2026.
The project was created jointly with “FILM UA DISTRIBUTION” LLC as part of a cultural and educational initiative and is timed to coincide with the release of the film “Christmas Train”.
