Experts also found that a significant part of the work performed was not properly documented. In 2023, the city terminated the contract with Kyivmetrobud due to the excessively slow pace of construction.
In 2024, a new contractor, Avtostrada, was selected and work resumed. The construction of the first phase of the metro to Vynohradar — 3,7 km of track and two stations, Mostytska and Varshavska — is currently ongoing around the clock.
