Voting for new names for several streets and metro stations in Kyiv has ended in the "Kyiv Digital" application.

Users of the service supported four out of five proposals put to the vote. In particular, they supported the idea of renaming the metro station "Friendship of Peoples" after the historical name of the area - "Zvirinetska". 76% voted for it.

Kyiv residents also voted to rename Lev Tolstoy Square to Ukrainian Heroes Square. 83% of users supported this proposal. At the same time, they supported the idea of renaming Lev Tolstoy Street in honor of the Ukrainian hetman Pavlo Skoropadskyi.

Since there is already a street named after Pavel Skoropadsky in the Pechersk district of Kyiv, in order to avoid duplication of streets, Kyivites were offered to rename it in honor of the former mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko. However, this proposal did not find support among Kyivans - 74% spoke against it.

In addition, the vast majority (90%) of participants supported the renaming of the Prospekt Pravda metro station project to Varshavska.

88% of the voting participants agreed that the boulevard Perov became Resurrection Avenue, and Vyzvolitelev Avenue was named after the Ukrainian artist and co-founder of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, Heorhiy Narbut.
