Currently, the Kryukiv Wagon Building Plant is negotiating with partners from the EU regarding the production of wagons for the European gauge.
Serial production is planned to be launched in the first quarter of 2023. Meanwhile, after testing two prototypes of the platform car, created according to EU standards, the company is waiting for approval by the European Railway Agency.
Features of the Sggrss 80-foot platform car:
- length with buffers – 26,39 m;
- height of loading floor – 1155 mm;
- wagon weight – 27 tons;
- carrying capacity - 108 tons.
By the way, KBZ plans to create other types of wagons for EU countries. For example, the Sggrss prototype of the 90-foot platform is being prepared for testing in the third quarter of 2022.
