On August 4, Ksenia Semenova, deputy of the Kyiv City Council said, that an unknown person plucked Vichy grapes, which were planted within the ecological project "City of Living Walls". She promised a reward of one thousand hryvnias for information about the hooligan
"In two years, the grapes should wrap around the edged wall and lower the summer heat in this area by several degrees. But someone stole the grapes... This wall partially falls into the field of view of our camera on the house and also falls on other cameras on the street. The police were called. Theft is a crime, there will be responsibility. If anyone has information about the thief, I would be grateful. If this information helps to find the thief, the reward is 1000 hryvnias," the publication says.
Subsequently, the recording on the cameras helped narrow down the search for the criminal: the video shows a pensioner with a red bag pulling out the plant.
Later, the public was informed about the event by "Regionality". After the request of Ksenia Semenova, community administrators made public and a call to donate for the Kraken unit.
"A mad grandfather with a red bag plucks and throws away public grapes. I am afraid and will send a post with an offer to give UAH 1000 for information about what kind of grandfather this is. Regionality publishes a funny story about how a deputy gives a mower for information about grape thieves. I write in the comments a request to donate to the car, since the story is already posted. Admins of Regionality will post a link directly on the channel and spread it on other channels," says Ksenia.
Thus, during the evening, channel subscribers managed to cover more than half of the cost of the car.
