After February 24, the team of the "Lypa" coffee shop prepared and delivered meals to those who needed it for two months. When the northern regions were de-occupied, they decided to deliver humanitarian aid to two settlements.

"It was still cold then and we saw broken windows in people's homes - that's why we decided to deliver film as well, to at least temporarily cover the broken glass. And then they started carrying a little cement, then some other building materials. And it happened," says Varvara Luschyk, an employee of "Lypa".

Subsequently, one of the owners of Lypa, Kyrylo, began to personally communicate with local residents to decide how to help each particular house.

"Somewhere it was necessary to rebuild only one room, somewhere it became clear that it was necessary to demolish the house and build something new to spend the winter. We rebuilt some of the houses ourselves. At the moment, we have already made about 12 such "boxes" in which you can winter. But we brought building materials to more than 80 houses," says the volunteer.

The largest project of the volunteers was the reconstruction of the damaged school, which in the pre-war period also served as a kindergarten, and after the invasion - served as a shelter for local residents. Here, volunteers made a new roof frame, laid slate, replaced all the windows, and carried out interior work.
