From now on, they promise to organize regular film screenings and thematic meetings there.

The opening took place on June 8 Cinema space in the Ukrainian House, during which the audience was shown the premiere of the film "Space" by Dmytro Tomashpolsky with the participation of the film crew, a memorial screening of the restored film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" by Serhii Paradzhanov with the participation of the lead actress, People's Artist of Ukraine Larisa Kadochnikova and film critic Serhiy Trimbach, as well as Meet Up "Ukrainian cinema in the focus of the world".

"For the first time since the beginning and the first shock of the war, UD opens its doors to visitors. We we return to cultural life, we make attempts to return to normal life, but only partially, because the war continues and everything we do now is happening within and in the context of this brutal war and its realities. This tragic context - common, it does not stop, but, on the contrary, forces each of us to act, to be active and as useful as possible for the people, for the country today", - the director of the Ukrainian House, Olga Vieru, tells about the mission and program of Kinoprostor.

One of the main functions of the Ukrainian House is dialogue, accordingly, the creation of a platform for communication and meetings of professionals and wide audiences is an organic process for the national center, emphasizes Oleksiy Ananov, curator of the Kinoprostor dialogue platform.

"Our Kinoprostir will be a locator - it will absorb life and will eventually result in great ideas", - believes Lyudmila Gordeladze, curator of the industrial program of Kinoprostir

At the first Meet Up, the speakers discussed the topic "Ukrainian cinema in the focus of the world". In particular, Andriy Rizol, film producer, head of the "Watch Ukrainian" Association, initiator and co-coordinator of the World Film Marathon in support of Ukraine, proposed to create a regular panel within the dialogue platform with the participation of cultural figures who are currently defending Ukraine at the front: "This is a war of cultures. That is, at the same time, creators and bearers of culture became defenders." After all, artists and philosophers are among the first to make sense of this war in real time, and recording and studying their experiences is extremely important.
