/ Events /

During the year of the full-scale Russian invasion, 131 fires were recorded on the Kinburn Peninsula, in which up to 4 million trees burned.

About this reported the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.

Employees of the "Biloberezhya Svyatoslav" National Park on the grounds data sentinel-2 satellites analyzed the territory of the peninsula and concluded that 5 thousand hectares have already been affected by fires. Most of them were recurrent and affected the same area several times.

It is noted that it is currently impossible to calculate the full damage to the environment due to the fact that the territory is under occupation. However, it is known that due to the war in Ukraine, 20% of the total natural reserve fund was damaged.
