Makagon published a map that is used by engineers to calculate the structures of buildings and structures.
The engineer spoke in more detail about the calculation process in the next publication.
"First, the maximum possible intensity of an earthquake in a certain area is determined (which can occur once every 500-1000 years), and then, according to the severity, it is entered into the calculation, after which, according to the calculation, the necessary cross-sections are selected so that the building can withstand an earthquake," he explains Dmytro.
In addition, in seismic areas there are also structural requirements, such as the distance between expansion joints, slab thicknesses or the distance between walls.
