In the Dnipro started construction of new metro stations. Architectural bureau Zaha Hadid Architects created projects for three stations at once: Theater, Central and Museum.
The new underground connections will connect residential, commercial, cultural and educational institutions of the eastern districts of the Dnipro with the city center and the Dnipro-Holovny railway station.

According to the architects, such an extension of the subway lines will reduce traffic jams in the city center and provide easy access to the most important historical monuments and places for recreation.
In the design of the stations, the authors of the project combined futuristic elements with the historical purpose of the metallurgical city. This is evidenced by the welded steel pavilions. The sculptural entrances consist of thin structures made from recycled steel at the Dnipro foundries.

It is interesting that the interior of the stations was also unified. The design of ticket halls, corridors and platforms unites the premises in style and has a single spatial logic.

It is planned to complete the creation of new underground stations by 2025 (as of the beginning of 2022, there are 6 of them).
