Greece will help in the reconstruction of Odesa after the war

The country's government plans to participate in the reconstruction of Odessa architecture after the end of hostilities.

About this reports said within the framework of a working visit to Ukraine, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Nikos Dendias.

"Even behind the smoke of today's bombs, it is clear that Odessa has a bright future. All I can say now, in these difficult times, is that we will be a part of that future. We will help you reconstruct this city and make it even more beautiful and even better," Nikos Dendias emphasized.

The official also noted that he visited the Filiki Eteriya building and saw that it was preserved as it was before the war, and all the exhibits are under protection in a safe place.

"I was very moved when I visited the building of the Philiki Eteria Society of Friends, where the Greek revolution began, and saw it as I saw it in July. All things stored in the basement are guarded. So thank you very much. We really appreciate the fact that you are protecting our common heritage," he added. 

In addition, during the working visit of Dendias passed humanitarian aid to health care facilities and announced that he intends to resume the work of the Consulate General of Greece in Odesa.
