In its projects, the ARKHO Group architectural bureau presents the "functional aesthetics" approach, which this year received recognition from the professional community.
"First — function. Then — architecture." CThis principle became the foundation for three bureau projects recognized by the NSAU in 2025. Below are examples of them.
MARVEL HILL RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY
A residential complex on a complex terrain with a 40-meter drop. This is an example of how architecture does not fight the slope, but uses it to create private terraces through cascading development and panoramic views of the Vynnyków Forest Park.
Municipal market "SYAYVO"
A unique urban case. Relocating retail to a modern, logically planned building frees up area space for a new community center, transforming a chaotic market into a civilized urban environment.
Kavalier Boutique Hotel
A multifunctional complex (mixed-use), a hybrid of a hotel and housing in the historical area of Lviv. Here, thoughtful service logistics are combined with cascading development that delicately fits into the landscape and preserves the panoramas of the old city.
The ARKHO Group team models scenarios of human life in a building even at the sketch stage. This allows us to create architecture where every meter is justified by the user's needs, which automatically levels out operational and investment risks. And aesthetics for an office is not something "added on top" for beauty - it is a natural result of pure engineering and transparent logic.
“Recognition from the National Union of Architects of Ukraine in 2025 is a great honor and at the same time confirmation that our vector resonates with the challenges of the time. Each of them — Marvel Hill, Syaivo, and Kavalier — answers the question of what modern Ukrainian architecture should be in its own way. We are convinced that today an architect should be a strategist who creates viable and meaningful spaces. Let us remind you that the main prize of the competition is grand prix — was won by architect Taras Sulyk, co-founder of the Sulyk Architecture bureau, for the project “House-Citizen. Modern interpretation of traditional Ukrainian architecture.”
