For the space with a mystical concept, the authors created an individual lighting system and unique custom art objects. The key elements of the interior were two author's light-glass sculptures made in the Optical Metaphor glass-blowing workshop.
According to Told me lighting designer, founder and art director of Expolight and Kabluka Light & Digital Sculptures Mykola Kabluka, the central accent was a light-glass chandelier, made in two versions. Its image is built on the symbolism of molfar - a combination of mirrors as a mystical element, fire and plant motifs. Mirror fragments are located at different angles, creating multi-layered reflections of "fiery" details. Amber shades and warm tints contain textures reminiscent of smoke, flame and grass.
The second expressive art object was a caustic "cigar" - a glass bulb with two independent light sources. Inside, the effect of moving smoke is formed, which creates wavy light reflections on the walls and ceiling. The pattern constantly changes depending on the time of day and lighting.
All luminaires are integrated into the Expolight Cloud Control system, which allows you to synchronize lighting operation and remotely control the atmosphere of the space.
“I thank the customer Serhiy Denisov for implementing a cool Ukrainian project in the center of Europe and for the opportunity to add our Ukrainian light to it,” added Kabluka.
The team worked on the restaurant's interior in collaboration with the Ukrainian architectural bureau NUMO BURO under the leadership of Yuriy and Kateryna Tereshchenko. The authors plan to present the details of the architectural solution separately.
