If you ask architects what kind of house they would like to live in, the answers will, of course, vary widely. Since this case concerns the area of feelings, culture, personal aesthetic view of things. Living Divani ventured to offer its own option for someone who has been designing a living space all his life by designing a new brand salon in Singapore in the form of elegant modern apartments.
The brand's new boutique occupies a loft-like, two-story glazed volume of the huge furniture showroom Space Furniture in Singapore. It houses a constantly updated exposition, including both iconic Living Divani items and the latest novelties. In addition, it presents carefully selected items from the collections of the ClassiCon and Glas Italia factories.
For example, the entrance to the salon is decorated with a Sherazade sliding door from Glas Italia made of textured glass panels - it intrigues visitors with a slight hint of the shapes and shades hidden behind it. Next is the stunning welcome area, where the innovative Extrasoft modular sofa, designed by Piero Lissona, plays the main role.
From here begins the journey through the other, no less elegant premises. The entrance hall, the living room, the dining area, the bedroom and the open terrace — all this paints a portrait of the imagined architect as a person who appreciates refinement, timelessness and comfort. The presented image is extremely clear and consistent with the way Living Divani's creative director, architect Piero Lissona, develops the brand.
The space for the architect is filled with recognizable objects from the factory, such as the Greene sofa and the Sailor bookcase designed by David López Kinkoses, the Frog armchair by Piero Lissona, and very precisely complemented by bright icons, for example, the Bibendum armchair by Eileen Gray from ClassiCon.
Paying tribute to the brand's presence in Singapore, the showroom also features products created in collaboration with Singaporean designers. They include Nathan Yong's Off Cut bookcase, the Pebble dressing table from the series of the same name by the duo Lanzavecchia + Wai, as well as tables from the Rabbit & the Tortoise collection by Studio Juju and Tortoise. And these are the things that the local community can rightly be proud of.
