About this reported the Dnipro City Council on its website.
The new 27-meter-long trams will accommodate 254 passengers, have air conditioning, and spaces for wheelchairs and people with disabilities. The low floor level will make it easier for passengers to board. The modern control system will save up to 30% of electricity.
The first tram is due to be delivered this year. They are planned to be launched on route No. 1, for which the tracks are currently being repaired. The cost of one car is 1,689 million euros.
The money was allocated within the framework of the international project "Urban Public Transport II", financed by the European Investment Bank.
