A Danish urban planner will launch a free bike rental service for displaced people in Lviv

The urban planner from Denmark, Mikael Colville-Andersen, together with a group of like-minded people, launched the Bikes4Ukraine bicycle collection charity event in his homeland.

They will be sent to Lviv in order to create a free bicycle rental service Rover.rent for migrants. Within the scope of the project, the organizers plan to collect more than 2 bicycles and equip 20 kilometers of tactical bicycle lanes. write Forbes.

According to the head of the Lviv Municipal Art Center, Liana Mytsko, thanks to this initiative, temporary settlers in the city will be able to move freely all the time. Another advantage: thanks to the initiative, the number of traffic jams will be reduced. 

In total, ten bicycle rental stations are planned to be installed in Lviv. They will be located near the residences of officially registered IDPs. It is assumed that they will be able to use the bicycle transport for free throughout the day, and the bicycles must be returned before the curfew begins.
