It is reported that the company recently demonstrated a trolley that can be fitted with a hydrogen system. This vehicle can operate autonomously, without the need for a contact network, using hydrogen to generate electricity.
In addition, the company manufactures trolleybuses with autonomous operation, including batteries for them, with the possibility of charging from a contact network. This enables transport to cover up to 30 kilometers without connecting to energy sources.

The autonomous running system works on the following principle: while the trolleybus is moving under the catenary network, it charges the battery, which can also be charged from a 380 V mains socket. In the absence of a network on the route, the trolleybus automatically collects current receivers and continues moving.
It is also reported that the company has additionally developed the "trolley bus-power bank" function. Since the vehicle has a high-voltage battery and a converter, at a critical moment it can become a power source, for example, for a hospital.

"We are a manufacturer of the drive, electronic and electrical equipment that makes the trolley bus what it is. I believe that we are exclusive in Ukraine, because none of the trolleybus manufacturers have their own trolleybus drive, battery for autonomous operation or other developments that we are involved in," said Mykola Kugut, director of "Polytechnoservice".
Currently, the company is testing a multiplex system that collects all the signals on the trolleybus and sends them to the driver's workplace. For now, the system is manufactured for their trolleybus, but in the future they plan to offer it to other manufacturers as part of the equipment.
