The day before, two trolleybuses with a similar design were launched in Vilnius, as well as a tram in Vienna. The actions were created as part of the initiative of a group of Viennese volunteers led by Ukrainian diplomats Oleg Verbov and Vitaly Lytvyn.
"When we managed to launch two Ukrainian trolleybuses in Vilnius, we saw that their route passes by the building of the local municipality, where a poster is hung on the facade with the text: "Putin, the Hague is waiting for you" you"). It was then that we realized in which city the next Ukrainian tram will go," the authors of the project explain.
The idea was implemented thanks to the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the help of the local company "HTM".
"It is symbolic that the route of the Ukrainian tram passes by the building of the Peace Palace in The Hague, where the UN International Court of Justice and the Permanent Chamber of Arbitration are located... This is a kind of reminder to the Russian president that responsibility for crimes committed by Russia is inevitable, and his own crimes will be properly assessed by the international criminal justice system. justice after the victory of Ukraine", - noted the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Maksym Kononenko.
