Eugene Kohn headed the most successful firm that designed 250 skyscrapers, 12 of which are considered the tallest in the world. For example, the 492-meter Shanghai World Financial Center, or the 484-meter International Trade Center in Hong Kong.

Cohn was born in 1930 in Philadelphia, and studied architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1976, together with William Pederson and Sheldon Fox, he founded the Kohn Pedersen Fox firm.
Over the next 45 years, their studio created a large number of significant projects around the world. These include 333 Wacker Drive in Chicago, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, the World Bank in Washington, DC, DZ Bank in Frankfurt, and airport terminals in Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Abu Dhabi.

With the participation of Eugene Kohn, the Kohn Pedersen Fox firm achieved significant success and became the youngest company to receive the Architecture Firm Award.
