They were brought here to carefully cut down the greenery and not harm the local ecosystem, where rare species of animals live, write Prazska Drbna.
"We learned that this is how vegetation is regulated in protected areas, so we realized that this is the most optimal, most ecological way to preserve the natural character of this area. For this... we contacted a man who grazes sheep nearby", says Pavlo Groh, head of the Prague-3 Municipal Services Department.

The work of the sheep is monitored by a specially trained shepherd. At any moment, she can drive them to the stall set up here the day before in a matter of minutes. The animals will "work" at this location for about a week, then they will be returned to their owner.

According to Pavlo Groh, not only sheep can help arrange territories in this way. The choice of animals depends on the initial goal.
"Each animal has different advantages. For example, sheep prefer fresh plants, and goats eat older and tougher greens, in addition, they like branches, which in this case is not desirable for us. Therefore, we consult in advance with nature conservationists, which animal should be chosen", - says the official.
