The city allocated UAH 26 for the wooden feeders, and they were made by the German manufacturer Mathias Göpfner.
"These are funds intended for the improvement of Lviv's parks. For comparison: in some hypermarkets, feeders of worse quality cost more. In addition, we consulted with the ornithologist Hanna Kuzio regarding these feeders, she saw the drawings and everything else," explains Sladkova.
New feeders were hung in parks and squares, where previously there were the same, only homemade objects.
"We removed the plastic bottles that served as homemade feeders. At the same time, they understood that the city needed feeders, so they decided to do it in a more organized way - so that they would have an aesthetic appearance, and people could add seeds, grains - what the birds eat," says the official.
In addition, bird feeders are planned to be installed soon in some green areas.
