On November 12, the premiere of the film about the architect of the "Flying Saucer" Florian Yuryev will take place

Those interested are invited to watch the film "Infinity according to Florian" in the capital's "October" cinema.

The movie "Infinity according to Florian" from the director Oleksiy Radinsky will be shown on November 12 at the "Zhovten" cinema in the program of a special edition of the Docudays UA film festival.

The main character of the film is the Kyiv architect, artist, musician, poet and theorist Florian Yuryev. He is known as the author of the "Flying Saucer" project on Lybidska Square, as well as the coat of arms of Kyiv in the form of a chestnut branch.

The main storyline of the film tells the story of the "Flying Saucer" and focuses on the confrontation between the author of the structure and the corrupt officials and developers who planned to turn this famous building into the entrance group of the Ocean Mall. Fortunately, in October 2020, the "Flying Saucer" received the status of a monument of architecture and monumental art.

In the film "Infinity according to Florian" it is also about other details of the life and work of Florian Yuryev. For example, about his theories of "color music" and the synthesis of arts. In addition, the creators of the film used fragments of the artist's experimental film works, which were created in the 1970s and were considered lost for a long time.

By the way, the world premiere of the movie "Infinity according to Florian" took place in January 2022 at the Rotterdam Film Festival. The film won the Kinokolo award as the best documentary of the year, and was also screened at the DOK Leipzig, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Riga IFF, Vilnius Documentary Film Festival and Docs Against Gravity film festivals, where it won the award for the best Ukrainian film of the festival.

Ticket sales for the premiere will begin on November 9.
