Botany is a kind of continuation of the previously released Tresco collection. The Botany collection includes nine patterns in 52 color variations. Each pattern in the Botany wallpaper collection was originally created by hand.
The Paint & Paper Library company was founded more than 20 years ago by a London-based interior designer, an authoritative expert in the field of colors, David Oliver. The Paint & Paper Library brand is widely recognized for its understanding of color balance, mood and light in modern interiors. Botany ornaments with perfectly calculated colors can become the basis of an interior of any style.
"The Botany collection is not only a demonstration of exotic flora and foliage, but also an image of elegant decor and architecture that easily merges with them. We look forward to seeing our favorite paints and wallpapers grace the walls of classic and contemporary homes around the world,” says Ruth Mottershead, Marketing Director of Paint & Paper Library.
So, the magnificent nine of Botany.
FEATHER FLORA
Solid floral design attracts abstract flowers, which seem to be picked up by a light breeze. The basis is an original work, watercolor plus crayons. Her flying mood is inspired by the beautiful outlines of palm leaves. This miniature pattern is presented in five different color variations, each of which is distinguished by a barely noticeable fibrous texture.
QUATREFOIL
A four-leaf clover is a laconic geometric shape that is found (sometimes barely perceptible) in historical architecture and interiors around the world. Unlike the original mosaic floor tile, the design of the wallpaper is created using traditional methods, in which the smooth matte texture of the ceramic tile is recreated by applying several layers of paint. Nine carefully selected color options are offered, each of which is printed using three equal tones that combine exquisitely and harmoniously.
All drawings of Botany are made by hand
HARDY PALM
Pencil drawing of the Trachycarpus palm, beloved by sculptors all over the world (the Mertsalov palm is known in Ukraine). This frost-resistant plant originally from China is also called fan palm. The design of the wallpaper with strong vertical stems and bold, expressive leaves is inspired by stylized botanical images that were applied directly to plastered walls. The expressive pattern is applied to five bright bases, and each combination allows you to recreate the atmosphere of an open space in any interior.
HONESTY
Laconic design created on the basis of watercolor and pencil drawing with the image of elegant twigs with leaves. He was inspired by Indian botanical motifs, which can be seen in miniature paintings or painted directly on internal or external walls. This delicate and at the same time universal pattern is presented in seven modern color variations. He is able to create a pleasant atmosphere in any corner of the house.
Floral exotic motifs are timeless
FOLIA
A dancing harmonious image of a fabulous, unearthly landscape with leafy silhouettes on a modern background in shades that smoothly transition from one to another. The drawing was inspired by cyanotype (the more familiar name is "photocopying"). Each of the four tonal colors offers an exquisite monochrome balance.
MARQUETRY TILE
Flawless diamond design. The timeless diamond-shaped pattern is inspired by inlay and mosaic tiles. It is suitable for all types of premises. The graphic form and neat geometric lines of Marquetry Tile are softened by traditional relief printing, chosen to achieve the effect of delicate artistic painting. Seven color variations were selected from the Paint & Paper Library color palette, combining two soft but contrasting shades.
Discreet decorative patterns will awaken the imagination
SEEDPOD
The continuous miniature pattern of these wallpapers resembles Indian lotus pods. This work of art was the result of a simple rubbing of the pencil while depicting the pods, which turned into a delicate relief seal. The universality of wallpaper makes it an ideal background for works of art and furniture, and the combination of the simplicity of the pattern, its organic shape and relief provides a soft and textural effect. Seven two-tone color variations are presented in five architectural combinations and are distinguished by incredible practicality.
JANGALA
Jangala means "jungle" in Hindi. A modern reinterpretation of watercolor-sepia depicts a panorama of the jungles of India. The basis for such wallpapers was a textured non-woven material resembling paper for watercolors. Refined elegance is given to this large drawing on three canvases by a delicate hand-made pattern. Carefully selected shades for Jangala are presented in three gradient color variations, each of which goes from light in the upper part of the canvas to dark in the lower part.
Botany reflects the impressions of traveling artists
TROPICANE
Artful watercolor image of large variegated foliage. This floral pattern is distinguished by large leaves, the contrasting sides of which are depicted using a gradation of one color. Tropicane wallpapers are presented in six color variations, combining neutral and bolder shades, allowing you to create any mood.
The extensive color palette of the collection borrows names from the existing shades of Paint & Paper Library, with which the wallpaper is perfectly combined: Sea Nor Sky, Aqua Viva & Squid Ink; Porcelain, Plaster & Stone; Slate, Kohl & Steel; Rhubarb, Scallion & Salt.
