The European avant-garde and the Bauhaus school. An evening for architects with the support of JUNG

/ Ukraine /

On August 27, in the Villa Verde salon in Kyiv, as part of the preparation for the Design Ukraine Show project, Kostyantyn Kovshevatskyi, editor-in-chief of the PRAGMATIKA.MEDIA publication, and Larisa Tsybina, the founder of the educational and cognitive project Artstudy, together with the company "JUNG Ukraine" gathered architects and designers to talk about the European avant-garde and the famous Bauhaus school.

The methods and principles that formed the aesthetics of the avant-garde, as innovative, provocative, daring as they seemed at the time, are perceived as timeless classics today. The style, which arose at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries, remains relevant to this day.

It is difficult to overestimate the influence of the Bauhaus on the development of art in the entire XX century. Conciseness and functionality, which Walter Gropius and other masters of the school aspired to, are fundamental in modern architecture and in the interior. It is surprising that the school, which existed for only 14 years, presented the world with bright, unique images of new objects, whose forms have become almost archetypes that exist outside of time and to which masters do not tire of turning.

The famous architect Le Corbusier emphasized the importance of color in space along with form and composition

The JUNG philosophy is based on understanding the value of the product, respecting and demonstrating in its work a subtle connection with art. The famous architect Le Corbusier emphasized the importance of color in space along with form and composition. And the JUNG company does not bypass this feature. Since 2014, it has been the exclusive global supplier of the classic LS 990 series of switches in the colors of the Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier palette. Since its inception, this model line has gradually expanded and is now presented in 63 shades. Such a wide range of colors can make any interior unique.
