From May 27 to June 7, 250 young architects from Europe and beyond will come to the Ukrainian city of Slavutych. For 11 days, the participants will live in the building of an abandoned polyclinic.
About 25 workshops, organized by students and young professionals, will explore the topic "Polyclinic", which refers to the concept of health care and its relation to architecture. Chosen through an open selection process, the workshops will range from design and construction to theoretical research and conceptual art.
The polyclinic, the city's main hospital, closed its doors in 2014. It is now a ruin in the very center of the city, which was once a prime example of late modern architecture, built for those most affected by the radioactive cloud.
During SESAM 2020, participants will have opportunity to visit Chernobyl exclusion zone, as well as abandoned the city of Pripyat.
The organizers welcome applications from anyone: students or professionals in the field of architecture and design, art or any field related to spatial practices anywhere in the world. To submit an application, it is necessary to fill out form.

The deadline for submitting applications is March 20, 2020. Applications are accepted on a rolling application basis, as soon as 200 places are filled, the organizers stop recruiting participants. That is, serve as soon as possible!
