II Ukrainian Construction Congress

On May 15 and 16, the second Ukrainian Construction Congress will take place at the "Parkovy" shopping center in Kyiv, which this year was significantly expanded, consolidated the Ukrainian government, business, public organizations and structures, and will become a platform for holding a number of events of international and Ukrainian organizations.

In addition to its own program, which will consist of discussion panels, speeches and presentations by experts from various fields, the congress will host its own events of the Association of Small Cities of Ukraine, which will gather 200 heads of communities and present the platform "Supermarket solutions for communities", will provide an opportunity for businesses to enter the municipal market, the Association of ATO Veterans, whose participants will discuss the topic of veteran entrepreneurship, as well as events of the Union of Real Estate Specialists and the Board International Business Community.

According to ministers of social policy of Oksana Zholnovich, there are 3 million people with disabilities in Ukraine, and this number is constantly increasing, in particular due to hostilities. Therefore, the key theme of the congress will be the restoration of Ukraine, taking into account barrier-free and inclusiveness.

The congress will traditionally be a platform for constructive dialogue, exchange of opinions and ideas between authorities, developers, architects, builders, manufacturers of building materials, the public sector and other industry participants.

The main topics of the congress will be:

– "Strategies and challenges of recovery of Ukraine: ways to economic and social development in 2024-2025";

- "New approaches to construction in the conditions of war. New safety standards and norms";

– "Restoration of historical objects";

– "Veteran enterprise guaranteeing the safety of society";

– "Barrier-free and inclusiveness: today's challenges";

- "Women of Ukraine are the second force after the Armed Forces of Ukraine";

- "Industrial reconstruction as an important driver of the development of the Ukrainian economy";

- "Mortgage. Dependence on the NBU and the Ministry of Finance";

- "Prospects for the restoration of housing construction".

A separate important part of the congress will be the panel "Work of international and Ukrainian funds, main directions, key projects and initiatives". During the discussion, the participants will discuss prospects in both construction and other areas, ways of interaction with communities, NGOs and business. 

As part of the concept of rebuilding Ukraine, the conceptual plans "Steel Dream Bakhmut" and "Steel Dream Mariupol" will be presented. But 2 certificates for the development of similar plans for two interested communities will be drawn.

For the first time, the congress will host the announcement of the winners and the awarding ceremony of the independent construction award «CREATOR OF THE YEAR – 2024». 

Awards will be given to companies, industry experts and projects in 15 nominations in the categories "Construction", "Architecture", "Business in the construction sector". You can get acquainted with the full list of nominations on the award website. 

The winners will be selected by an honorary jury and a qualification committee, which includes leading Ukrainian architects, chief city architects, restorers, accessibility experts, as well as Christos Passas - director of a top world architectural office Zaha Hadid Architects, Hiroki Matsuura – architect, urbanist, founder of MASA, MADMA urbanism+lanscape and Tatiana Lomakina - Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for barrier-free accessibility.

Yulian Chaplinsky, a famous Ukrainian architect, urban planner, chief architect of Lviv in 2015-2018, became the chairman of the jury of the award.
